Allianz Riviera
Allianz Riviera was born of a Public/Private Partnership (PPP), a principle whereby a public authority entrusts private partners with the financing and management of a facility of public interest. The public partners are the Town of Nice, the Métropole Côte d'Azur, General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, Regional Council of Provence Alpes Côtes d'Azur and the State. The private partners are VINCI Concessions, La Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, and South Europe Infrastructure Equity (SEIEF).
Key dates
October 11th, 2010: in partnership with La Caisse des Dépôts et Consignantions and South Europe Infrastructure Equity (SEIEF), VINCI Concessions was chosen as builder of the stadium. The architectural project retained was the one submitted by Wilmotte & Associés.
August 1st, 2011: start of the construction work.
February 29th, 2012: inauguration of the welcome pavilion.
1er août 2011 : start of work
July 23rd, 2012: unveiling of Allianz as the stadium's name partner.
September 19th, 2012: start of the Atlas girder
October 9th, 2012: start of installation of the frame.
November 26th, 2012: completion of the main structure and unveiling of the visual identity of Allianz Riviera.
May 3rd, 2013: the Euro's first positive-energy stadium
July 1st, 2013: installation of Allianz Riviera signs
July 8th, 2013: laying of the turf.
25 juillet 2013 : laying the lawn
August 29th, 2013: delivery of the keys
September 22nd, 2013: inauguration of Allianz Riviera
