Drone race at Allianz Riviera this summer

The Drone Racing League (DRL), the world’s leading drone racing organisation, today announced that a race will be held in France on 16 June 2018 at Allianz Riviera, attesting to its continued international expansion.

Fifth grand prix of the 2018 DRL Allianz World Championship Season, the race that will take place at Allianz Riviera will be broadcast next autumn on the channels of Groupe AB as well as on other channels such as ESPN, Sky and ProSieben.

The event will pit the best FPV (first person view) pilots against each other, including the French pilot Dunkan Bossion, with high-speed custom-built drones flying at approximately 150 km/h in the three-dimensional course installed within the gigantic football stadium in Nice, France.

Dunkan will go up against the elite drone pilots from around the world and will have to win in order to secure a place in the finals 2018 which will be held in Saudi Arabia in September.
