Ambassador of the United Nations World Food Programme, Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye, once more shows his support to this UN program by donating money from the second part of his tour to his XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports the organisation’s response to the unprecedented global food crisis. One euro from every ticket sold in Europe, £1 in the United Kingdom and the equivalent of $1 in Latin American countries will go to this important cause. The XO Humanitarian Fun also raised money during the North American portion of the tour through ticket sales, profits from an exclusive tour t-shirt and a gift of 500,000 dollars made directly by The Weeknd.
The tour celebrates the The Weeknd’s famous After Hours album, released in 2020 (the single ‘Blinding Lights’ broke the record for most weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, edging out ‘The Twist’ released by Chubby Checker in 1960), as well as his Dawn FM album, hailed by critics and released in January 2022. Kaytranada is the supporting act for The Weeknd on his European dates.
