A red and black heart

On Sunday, September 1st, after a festive weekend marking the last match at the Ray Stadium, Mattéo, the Gym's mascot, dug up the heart of the historic lair of Nice-Nord beneath the emotional gaze of 17,000 people, players who contributed to the history of OGC Nice, President Jean-Pierre Rivère and Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of the Town of Nice and President of La Métropole. Surrounded by these personalities, joined by Xavier Lortat-Jacob, President of Nice Eco Stadium, Jean-Louis Romain, Technical Director of Nice Eco Stadium, Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council, Dominique Sassone-Estrosi, Deputy to the Mayor for Housing, Urban Renovation and the Fight against Discrimination, and Gilles Veissière, Deputy to the Mayor for Sport, the 8 year-old Mattéo, dressed in red and black, now replaces the Allianz Riviera kick-off patch of turf on Tuesday, September 3rd, by the one taken from the Ray Stadium. A highly symbolic act initiated by OGC Nice, proving that, if a leaf is being turned, the story is far from over. A strong message delivered to supporters of the Aiglons…
